Why Rim Rehab For Repair

Why Rim Rehab

Kerb damage is the most common reason wheels end up looking tired, and it's the easiest thing to fix badly. Cheap fixes fill the gouge with body filler and spray over the top — it looks fine for a few months, then cracks and lifts. We machine the damaged lip back to bare alloy, true it up, and refinish the whole face so the repair is invisible and permanent.

The Process

How It Works

1

Photo Assessment

Send us photos of the kerb damage and we'll give you a straight price on the spot.

2

Drop Off

Bring the wheel to our Southport workshop — no appointment needed.

3

Strip & Inspect

We strip the wheel face and inspect the full extent of the damage.

4

CNC Machining

The damaged lip is precision machined back to a true, clean edge.

Common Questions

FAQ

Can you fix deep kerb gouges, not just scuffs?

Yes — most kerb gouges, including deeper ones, can be machined back to a true edge. Send photos and we'll confirm before you drop off.

Will the repair be visible afterwards?

No. Because we machine the damaged section back to bare alloy rather than filling and spraying over it, the repair blends into the factory finish.

How long does kerb damage repair take?

Most single-wheel kerb repairs are same-day. A full set can take 1–2 days depending on workshop load.

Do I need to remove the tyre myself?

No — our tyre partner, Southport Budget Tyres & Auto, handles removal and refitting if needed.

Is kerb repair cheaper than buying a new wheel?

Almost always. Kerb repair starts from $99 per wheel versus $200–$800+ for a replacement OEM alloy.
